We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for processing payroll transactions, maintaining employee data within SAP Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP), and ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, policies, and employee entitlements.
Working closely with HR, Rewards, managers, and employees, the Payroll Analyst will manage payroll enquiries, resolve salary disputes, perform payroll reconciliations, and support payroll projects and process improvements. The successful candidate will bring strong payroll knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate outcomes and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
What You’ll Do
Process payroll transactions and employee lifecycle changes accurately and on time.
Maintain employee data in SAP EC/ECP and support end-to-end payroll operations.
Ensure compliance with Australian payroll, tax, superannuation, and leave legislation.
Manage payroll enquiries, employee benefits, entitlements, and salary disputes.
Perform payroll reconciliations, reporting, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Support payroll system testing, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
What makes you perfect for the role?
At least 3 years’ of Australian payroll experience in a high-volume, in-house payroll environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, leave entitlements, and payroll compliance.
Proficient in SAP Payroll/ECP and HRIS systems, with experience in payroll processing, employee lifecycle changes, and reconciliations.
Intermediate Excel skills with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong customer service focus.
Highly organised and detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
