About Us:
At Building Solutions Brisbane, we're more than just a construction company – we're a tight-knit team that takes pride in delivering high-quality results and building long-lasting relationships. Since our founding in 2007, we've grown into a leading name in construction and concrete remediation across Southeast Queensland.
At BSB, our business is built around two dynamic teams: the Building Team and the Concrete Remediation Team. Together, we deliver a diverse range of projects for some of Queensland's most respected clients, including Ampol, Brisbane City Council, QBuild, Transurban and Logan City Council.
Thanks to consistent growth – including tripling our turnover in the last three years – we're looking for the right person to join our team and take ownership of this important role as our long-serving Storeman prepares for a well-earned retirement.
About the Role:
This is far more than a traditional Storeman position.
We're seeking a practical, hands-on person who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping things organised, maintained and running smoothly. This role would suit a retired or semi-retired tradesperson looking to stay active and involved without the demands of working on the tools full-time. It would also suit a handyman, maintenance professional, mechanic, or someone with strong practical skills who enjoys solving problems and keeping things running efficiently.
You'll be responsible for ensuring our tools, equipment, warehouse and deliveries are managed efficiently to support our construction teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tools, equipment and materials to sites across Brisbane
- Driving company truck and vehicles
- Operating forklifts for loading and unloading
- Maintaining and organising the warehouse and yard
- Managing stock levels and equipment registers
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance where possible
- Coordinating external repairs and servicing when required
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Assisting Project Managers and Site Supervisors with logistics
- Keeping the warehouse, workshop and yard clean, safe and organised
- Ensuring equipment is ready for site crews when required
What We're Looking For:
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and manage priorities
- Good communication skills
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Construction industry experience highly regarded
- Ability to perform moderate physical work
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping others succeed
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
