The opportunity
Sunpork are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to step into the role of Purchasing Officer.
The successful applicant will be based in the Sunpork Kingaroy office and be responsible for placing orders, stock on hand monitoring, stocktaking, receipting, production relationships & requirements, and staff sales.
The position is responsible for actioning SunPorks purchasing requirements, and the role includes but not limited to placing orders, SOH monitoring, stocktaking, receipting, production relationships & requirements, and staff sales.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for raising purchase orders, placing orders with suppliers, receipting received goods (including closing off processing facilities invoices and end of month requirements), and following up on the status of orders (e.g., completed, delayed, missing, etc.).
- Responsible for updating of consumable item codes and pricing in the relevant systems to ensure all purchasing information for these items are accurate; this includes setting up of new consumable item codes.
- Complete stocktakes with the warehouse team to ensure an accurate SOH is maintained.
- Support with overseeing the onsite warehouse space (example – area is maintained and tidy).
- Support the Senior Purchasing & Inventory Controller in SunPorks packaging requirements, including ordering, SOH monitoring, transport, etc. This includes offsite storage and transport.
- Responsible for the actioning and processing of staff sales.
- Work collaboratively with the purchasing team to ensure training plans and all role backup/secondary options are up to date for times of leave, sickness, etc.
- Provide reports as necessary, as directed by manager.
- Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animals.
- Carry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company.
