About Your Way Living
Your Way Living is a trusted NDIS provider supporting participants across Newcastle, Sydney and the Hunter region. We deliver person-centred supports including Individualised Living Options (ILO), Supported Independent Living, community participation and capacity building helping people with disability live life their way.
About the role
We're seeking motivated Support Workers both male and female applicants needed to work with our ILO participants. These roles offer an immediate start with ongoing, consistent shifts.
You'll support participants in their homes and out in the community, focusing on independence, life skills and social connection. No personal care is involved in these roles.
Key responsibilities
- Provide flexible, person-centred support in line with each participant's ILO plan
- Support daily living skills such as meal preparation, household tasks, budgeting and planning
- Build participants' confidence, independence and capacity
- Support community access, social activities and appointments
- Provide transport support where required
- Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate with the Your Way Living team
Must have
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (valid and current)
- Working With Children Check (if supporting participants under 18)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – "Quality, Safety and You" (certificate of completion)
- Australian driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
- Full Australian working rights
- Availability for an immediate start, including flexibility across weekdays, evenings or weekends
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with ILO participants
- Two contactable work references
Highly regarded (not essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services
- Previous experience with ILO or drop-in/mentoring style supports
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability or complex needs
