About the Business
We are a growing retail business seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, stock, sales, customer service, purchasing, budgeting and staff performance.
This is a full-time position offering a salary of $80,000–$90,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
About the Role
As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the business while maintaining high standards of customer service and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Determine appropriate product ranges, product mix, stock levels and service standards.
· Develop and implement purchasing, merchandising and marketing policies.
· Monitor market conditions and customer demand and assist with setting appropriate prices.
· Promote and advertise the establishment's goods and services through suitable marketing activities.
· Drive sales and provide customers with product information, advice and assistance.
· Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales and financial transactions.
· Monitor stock movements and coordinate ordering and replenishment.
· Prepare and monitor budgets and assist with financial management of the business.
· Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and business performance.
· Recruit, select, train, supervise and manage retail staff.
· Allocate duties and monitor staff performance to maintain efficient store operations.
· Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
· Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and relevant workplace regulations.
· Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised retail environment.
· Assist with the overall planning and implementation of business strategies and operational procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
· Previous experience in a retail management or senior retail position.
· Strong knowledge of retail operations, stock management and customer service.
· Experience in staff supervision, training and performance management.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Good understanding of purchasing, pricing, sales and marketing.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage budgets and monitor financial performance.
· Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
· A strong customer-focused approach.
