We are seeking a skilled cook and all-round kitchen hand to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. We are a busy café serving up delicious modern Australian fare, and we need an experienced cook to join our energetic team. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with its taste and timely delivery.
You must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. You must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our customer base.
Applicants must possess:
Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
Kitchen maintenance, cleaning and keeping an orderly environment in the kitchen
Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
Following food safety requirements
Requirements:
Have passion for producing great food & attention to detail
Be a team player and a good communicator
Full working rights in Australia
Be available Mon – Fri, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Work Eligibility:
The candidate can work permanently with no restriction on hours (Preferred)
Commercial Cookery Qualification:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)
Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
