The Role
The Crisis Accommodation Administration Officer is primarily responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Intake and Assessment and Response (A&R) Teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations of supporting women into crisis and emergency accommodation. Provide administrative support by managing incoming referrals, coordinating emergency accommodation, facilitating refuge referrals, liaising with refuges and motels, arranging and coordinating approved client support purchases and transport, and working collaboratively with Intake and Assessment & Referral (A&R) teams to ensure timely client assistance. While the role is predominantly administrative, it may involve some support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage crisis accommodation requests as required by the team, including sourcing and securing safe emergency accommodation for clients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage referral processes through QHIP, including establishing new client files, maintaining accurate case documentation, preparing assessment reports from case notes, and facilitating referrals to refuge services.
- Coordinate client transport arrangements related to crisis accommodation and support services.
- Prepare and distribute Emergency Relief (ER) packs and other essential resources to clients.
- Process referrals with strict confidentiality and ensure client records are accurate, up to date, and securely stored.
- Maintain and update service registers, including the accommodation register, transport register, and safety upgrades register.
- Provide administrative support to the DFV teams where required
- Develop and maintain resources, tools, and templates that assist the team’s day-to-day operations in relation to crisis accommodation.
- Building relationships with motel and accommodation stakeholders
Salary and Benefits
- SCHADS Level 2.1 ($34.58p/h) | Part-Time (22.5 Hours Per Week) | $40,458 annually
- Temporary contract until 30 June 2027.
- Salary Packaging up to $15,900 (superannuation can be paid in addition to this, subject to any ATO limit if any).

Experience and Qualifications
Please note, roles above a SCHADS Level 4.1 require completed or working towards tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher. Roles above a SCHADS Level 5.1 require completed tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher.
This role would benefit from relevant tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in administration, human services, social work, psychology or similar, along with relevant experience in administrative support, preferably within social services.
Potential Start Dates
This role is available to start on 13 July 2026 through to 30 June 2027.
We have set start dates for new team members so that they can undertake our supportive induction process with our Practice and Development Lead. This process allows new team members to have set time to learn more about our organisation, our practice frameworks and set up all equipment and logins.
