Small Friends Playschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team in Singleton, WA 6175. This is a part-time (2-3 days per week) position that plays a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to our young learners. As an ECT, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children aged 2.5-5 years can develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering exceptional childcare and education services that support each child's unique developmental journey.

- What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote children's development across all areas of the curriculum
- Providing direct care and supervision to children in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
- Building meaningful relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication
- Observing and assessing children's development and learning to inform planning and identify areas for support
- Maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice
- Collaborating with colleagues and families to support children's wellbeing and learning goals
- Participating in team meetings, professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by legislation and internal policies
- What we're looking for
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent) with a minimum 3 years experience
- Current registration with the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) or eligibility to obtain registration
- A current Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certification relevant to early childhood
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families and colleagues
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and early childhood best practice methodologies EYLF
- Ability to create inclusive, welcoming environments that celebrate diversity and meet individual needs
- Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude towards collaborative teamwork
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of early childhood education

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
