We provide 24-hour support with morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts available across 7 days a week.
About the Role
We are supporting a NDIS participant living with dementia and are looking for a dedicated professional who understands the complexities of cognitive decline and can provide consistent, compassionate, and skilled support.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Providing person-centred support tailored to the participant's individual needs, preferences, and routines
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Supporting community access and meaningful engagement
- Building trust and maintaining a calm, reassuring environment
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in cognition, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Supporting independence while ensuring safety and dignity
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
- Working collaboratively with family members and the broader support team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience supporting people living with dementia
- Previous experience providing supports within the NDIS environment
- A strong understanding of person-centred dementia care and positive behaviour support principles
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in changing situations
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care (essential)
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with dementia (essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Ability to complete clear and accurate progress notes
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $43.23 – $47.16 per hour
