About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner to join our collaborative team. Partnering closely with leaders across the organisation, you will deliver practical HR solutions that support business outcomes and a positive employee experience.
This generalist role provides end-to-end support across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, engagement, retention and offboarding. You will also contribute to strategic people initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
A key focus of the role is providing expert guidance on industrial and employee relations matters, including employment legislation, award interpretation, workplace investigations, dispute resolution and complex people matters. Your expertise will help strengthen organisational capability, drive employee engagement and support Sylvanvale's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on all aspects of industrial relations, including award interpretation, dispute resolution, and legislative compliance.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support Sylvanvale’s goals and values.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR best practices, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
- Support and resolve complex HR matters with a focus on positive outcomes and relationship building.
- Participate in HR projects that build capability, strengthen collaboration and support organisational success.
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current employment legislation, award interpretation, and industrial relations practices (understanding of SCHADs and Children’s Services Award desirable)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner role or similar or would consider a graduate with work experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex HR matters, including performance, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to drive positive outcomes in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
