This is an exciting opportunity for a capable, creative and energetic journalist, editor or producer to join ACM’s leading digital subscriptions masthead and contribute to agenda-setting journalism that serves the national capital and audiences across the ACM network.
This position, based in Canberra, is responsible for a range of digital production-related tasks, including managing news, sport, comment and lifestyle content across ACM, primarily through the masthead’s website, apps, social media platforms and other channels.
Producers work closely with the masthead’s editors, reporters and photographers and other ACM producers to ensure content is delivered to all of ACM’s digital audiences accurately, efficiently and on time.
The producer will help identify new ways to increase the reach and engagement of Canberra Times and other ACM content using the latest storytelling and digital publishing techniques, as well as network sharing, cross-promotion and social media.
With proven newsroom skills and experience, they will display the highest of ethical standards and work relentlessly and creatively to achieve the company’s strategic editorial objective of growing digital subscriptions.
The position is full-time and work hours will vary across seven days and will involve nights and weekend work.
