The Children’s Short Stay Unit (CSSU), provides care for up to 32-bed acute paediatric inpatient unit caring for children with a wide range of medical conditions. Working closely with the Emergency Department, CSSU provides care for patients with respiratory illnesses, infections, seizures, gastroenteritis, and other common childhood conditions, with most patients staying up to 72 hours.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your acute advanced paediatric nursing skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You'll be part of a passionate and experienced multidisciplinary team, with strong clinical support.
What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.
The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness , Respect and Empowerment.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

- Current Acute Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Effective time management skills.
