The Role
We're looking for a full-time, hands-on, mechanically-minded Yard-All Rounder to join our portable toilet hire business. In this role, you will be part of a small team that is responsible for ensuring that our large fleet of portable toilets and trucks are in excellent working order and ready to be deployed and used each day by our team of dedicated drivers
In addition to working with our existing experienced yard hand, you will also work closely with our Operations Manager and office admin team on a daily basis.
If you take pride in your work, are ‘handy’, have solid mechanical skills and like solving problems on the go, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining an organised, clean, and safe yard at all times
- Repairing and cleaning portable toilets to a high standard
- Performing in-house and preventative maintenance on trucks, small petrol engines, pumps, hose and hose fittings
- Managing and controlling parts and inventory
- Assisting drivers with truck, toilet, and yard-related issues
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of chemicals, toilet paper, soap, and other consumables needed by drivers
- Ensuring sufficient numbers of toilets are serviced, repaired, cleaned and ready to go each day for our drivers
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and office team to keep daily operations running efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Someone who is 'handy' and has the skills needed to learn what is required to fix a portable toilet
- Someone with good mechanical knowledge of trucks, small petrol engines, pumps, hoses and hose fittings
- Hands-on experience with tools such as drills, rivet guns, heat guns etc.
- A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
- A hard worker with a genuine "get stuck in" attitude
- Someone who can think outside the box and come up with practical and creative fixes
- A person who buys into our vision of improving operational yard efficiency and takes pride in their work
- Someone with a Forklift licence

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
