About the Role
Australian Food & Fibre is seeking an experienced Casual Warehouse Operator to join our team at Narrabri Warehouse.
This is a hands-on operational role supporting the day-to-day movement, storage, and packing of cotton, grain and seed products. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible and are seeking candidates who can hit the ground running in a busy warehouse environment.
Forklift and loader experience is essential for this role. Applicants must be confident operating mobile plant and working safely around heavy machinery and warehouse operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts for the safe stacking, sorting and movement of cotton bales.
- Operating bale loaders and container loaders to safely transport commodities.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers.
- Operating mobile packing equipment for seed and grain packing activities.
- Completing general warehouse and labouring tasks, including bale labelling and housekeeping.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene and presentation across the warehouse.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency within the warehouse.
- Undertaking other warehouse duties as required to support operational demands.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are a safety-focused and reliable operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a productive team. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively and understand the importance of maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A current forklift licence and driver's licence.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and loaders in an agricultural warehousing, logistics or industrial environment.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse systems.
Experience working with cotton, grain, warehousing or commodity handling operations will be highly regarded.
