We’re looking for a Commercial Performance Specialist to join our Revenue Management team. This is a role for someone who loves getting into the data, finding the story behind the numbers and turning commercial opportunities into clear, practical recommendations that help drive revenue performance.
You’ll help identify, size and prioritise indirect channel initiatives from analysing market behaviour and commercial performance, to building business cases and helping shape and refine our sales transformation roadmap.
What you’ll be doing
As our Commercial Performance Specialist, you’ll provide insightful, accurate and timely analysis to help identify revenue opportunities and support smarter commercial decision-making across the business.
You’ll work with commercial and revenue teams to understand drivers of performance, identify and assess opportunities, and help prioritise initiatives that can improve market share and revenue across our indirect channels.
Further responsibilities include:
- Using tools including Excel and PowerBI to interrogate data, identify trends, gaps and opportunities
- Analysing sales initiatives including their impact on market share performance, revenue and return on investment
- Building and evaluating financial business cases for indirect channel initiatives and investment
- Forecasting revenue opportunities using digital and commercial variables
- Turning complex analysis into clear insights, recommendations and presentations that support executive decision-making
- Providing insights into how initiatives can be enhanced as part of continuous improvement
- Identify and own strategically significant projects that deliver on our market share and revenue growth ambitions
- Supporting commercial and strategic projects through research, analysis and recommendation development
- Promoting a data-led culture across the Commercial Division through best-practice sharing and analytical decision-making
You’ll be great in this role if you…
You’re naturally curious, commercially minded and confident working with data. You enjoy solving complex problems, are comfortable operating with ambiguity, and know how to turn analysis into a clear recommendation that helps a business make better decisions.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Analytics or a related field
- A background in Management Consulting or a similar commercial/analytical role (1-3 years)
- Experience in a commercial, analytical, revenue, digital performance or consulting-style role
- Curiosity, a passion for learning and solving complex problems and comfort operating within ambiguity
- Experience building financial models, revenue forecasts and business cases for investment
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interrogate large data sets and identify meaningful insights
- Advanced Excel skills, with confidence building models from scratch
- Experience using PowerBI and/or digital analytics tools
- The ability to translate business questions into analysis that proves, disproves or shapes a hypothesis
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create clear, impactful and easily interpreted presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
- High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing data quality and producing reporting
Experience in airline, travel, digital product, eCommerce or revenue management environments would be highly regarded, as would knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target or AEM.
