About the School:
Queensland Education and Training Centre is a multi-campus, Department of Education school operating within South-East Queensland's Youth Detention Centres at Wacol. QETC multiple campuses cater to male and female students from across the state who are either on remand or have been sentenced for criminal offences. The school plays an important role in the community by providing young people in detention with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and values that can enhance their capacity to pursue positive choices in the future.

Role:
The Accounts Payable Officer works closely with the Business Manager - Finance to provide high-level financial and administrative support, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the school's finance operations.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the role description, the successful applicant will undertake a range of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
Utilise your full knowledge of OneSchool Finance to effectively manage the full suite of Accounts Payable processes
Accurately and efficiently process Requisitions; Direct invoices; Purchase order invoices (including goods receipting); Remittances via SU07 and SU08 into the OneSchool system in a timely manner
Perform timely reconciliations of school Corporate Cards and consolidate card holders' monthly transactions
Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, including identifying issues, seeking advice, and recommending practical solutions.
Liaise with Program Managers regarding purchase request.
Provide accurate, timely financial reports to Program Managers.
Undertake and process allocated work in accordance legislative, policy and procedural requirements
Accounts receivable support as required
Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.

An ideal candidate will possess the following:
OneSchool Accounts Payable experience is essential for this role
Demonstrate a sound understanding of procurement and purchasing procedures, including contract and supplier management, for compliancy with relevant policies and value-for-money principles
Capabilities to assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes that enhance outcomes, improve resource management, and ensure compliance with best practices, policies, and standards
Ability to work independently, think logically, problem solve and continue refining and developing processes
Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure and to manage shifting priorities and interruptions in a fast-paced office environment
Strong organisational, time management skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy
High-level customer service and professionalism
Dedicated team player that contributes collaboratively and positively with all team members
Provide a comprehensive range of executive and administrative support services including preparation of accurate and timely reports, correspondence and other documents where necessary
