About the role:
In this key role, you will help plan and develop a diverse range of infrastructure projects - from roads, paths and drainage networks to coastal infrastructure, car parks, bridges and public transport facilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Investigating and defining project scope requirements, developing project documentation and cost estimates.
- Managing consultants undertaking studies, investigations and design work.
- Supporting grant funding applications and project business cases.
- Coordinating stakeholder consultation and engagement activities.
- Assisting with statutory approvals and agency clearances.
- Contributing to the City's Capital Works Program and annual budgeting processes.
- Responding to infrastructure-related customer enquiries.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Tertiary or Diploma qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline; alternatively, substantial relevant industry experience.
- Experience in municipal engineering, asset planning or infrastructure project delivery.
- Knowledge of roads, footpaths, drainage networks and public infrastructure assets.
- Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar CAD software.
- Experience using GIS software such as QGIS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Pre-employment requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Construction Awareness White Card
- National Police Clearance
- Right to work in Australia
