About this opportunity:
We are looking for an emerging leader to join our world-class Event Delivery team as our Kitchen Stewarding Team Leader. Reporting directly to our Kitchen Logistics Manager, you will work alongside the wider Kitchen team who thrive on a positive culture, innovation and the delivery of our extraordinary events!
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude looking to grow and develop in a high pressure, high performing environment.
Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with overseeing team member management within the Kitchen Logistics department;

Delivering high standard preparation for all off our events, and must be able to manage staff in several sections simultaneously;
-
Assist in coordinating and delivering all arrangements related to supporting the kitchen team and food & beverage teams.

Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and follow directions from supervisors and leaders.

Assisting in training, leading and inspiring the Stewarding team members;
-
Assisting with the provision of adequate and clean operating equipment to meet the daily requirements of the kitchen and outlets;

Maintaining our high standards of food quality and ISO 22000 food safety compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding, kitchen cleaning, hospitality, food production or logistics environment is desirable.

Strong understanding of workplace hygiene, cleaning and food safety standards.
-
Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing and kitchen cleaning equipment.
-
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and follow directions from supervisors and leaders.
-
Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
-
Flexible availability to work across a 7-day roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Commitment to workplace health and safety and safe manual handling practices.

Valid working rights in Australia.
