Help us deliver like never before
We’re looking for a Principal Architect – Workplace Technology Experience & Enterprise Service Management (WTE & ESM) to provide domain-level architecture leadership across Australia Post’s workplace technology landscape, shaping how employees securely access devices, collaboration tools, productivity platforms and IT services. Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Technology Architecture, you’ll bridge strategy and delivery, owning the roadmap, standards and reference architectures across workplace and ServiceNow-based ESM domains, while driving alignment to the Post30 strategy and accelerating value for every team through modern, scalable and future-ready technology experiences.
A great opportunity to shape how enterprise priorities are translated into delivery outcomes, influence investment decisions at scale, and play a pivotal role in enabling strategic execution across Australia Post.
What you’ll deliver with us
-
Own and maintain the WTE and ESM architecture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with E&TA strategy, and the endorsed WTE Strategy, translating strategic intent into actionable architecture decisions and technology investments.
-
Lead the Microsoft 365 architecture strategy, including Copilot adoption, licensing optimisation, data lifecycle management, and productivity platform evolution, ensuring Australia Post maximises value from its Microsoft investment while maintaining security and compliance.
-
Own the Enterprise Service Management architecture anchored on ServiceNow, driving platform evolution aligned to the vendor roadmap, including ITSM maturity, SAM hub integration, AI-powered service desk capabilities, and CMDB governance.
-
Define and govern workplace technology standards, reference architectures, and patterns across end-user computing, device management (Intune, Workspace One), collaboration (Teams/Viva), print services, telephony, and retail/field technology, ensuring consistency across corporate and frontline environments.
-
Evaluate and provide architectural recommendations on emerging workplace technologies, vendor consolidation opportunities, and strategic procurement decisions, contributing to capital planning and business case development.
About you
We’re looking for a seasoned enterprise technology leader with deep experience across workplace technology, end-user computing, collaboration platforms and IT service management in complex, large-scale environments. You bring a proven track record as a principal or lead architect, owning technology roadmaps, reference architectures and standards across modern workplace domains, including Microsoft 365 and ITSM platforms. You’re equally comfortable operating at a senior stakeholder level as you are guiding solution architects and teams, combining strong people leadership with hands-on technical credibility. With deep expertise across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ServiceNow and evolving workplace trends, from zero-trust security to AI-assisted support, you understand how to shape, optimise and future-proof enterprise platforms while delivering meaningful outcomes for the business.
