The Role
We are seeking passionate and motivated Chefs to join the opening kitchen team at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co Sandgate. These roles are responsible for managing and supporting designated kitchen sections, delivering high-quality dishes, and contributing to smooth kitchen operations within a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and run your designated kitchen section during prep and service periods
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation
- Contribute to smooth and efficient service delivery in a high-volume environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to maintain operational standards
About You

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Ability to confidently manage or support a kitchen section during service
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations
- Team-focused with a positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
- Able to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environments
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Passionate about hospitality, food quality, and teamwork
Requirements:

Commercial Cookery Certificate III or IV qualification
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Full working rights in Australia
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak service periods
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and operational standards
