Profile Landscapes is a leading commercial landscape construction company delivering high-quality civil and landscape infrastructure projects across Sydney. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team.
We welcome applicants from civil construction, infrastructure or commercial landscaping who have experience pricing projects involving earthworks, drainage, retaining structures, pavements, streetscapes, public domain works and commercial landscaping.
Working closely with senior management, you'll prepare competitive tenders for projects ranging from $100,000 to $3 million.
About the Role
· Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
· Interpret civil and landscape drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
· Complete detailed quantity take-offs.
· Price earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete, retaining walls, services and landscape works.
· Prepare project methodologies and indicative construction programs.
· Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
· Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
· Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
· Manage tender clarifications and project variations.
· Maintain estimating databases and cost libraries.
· Prepare subcontractor packages and purchase orders.
· Attend client meetings and site inspections where required.
· Assist with project handover to delivery teams.
· Manage multiple tenders while meeting strict deadlines.
About You
· Previous estimating experience within civil construction, infrastructure or commercial landscape construction.
· Experience pricing civil works; commercial landscape estimating highly regarded.
· Strong understanding of estimating principles, cost planning and construction methodologies.
· Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
· Excellent analytical, negotiation and organisational skills.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with Buildsoft or similar estimating software (highly regarded).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Current Australian Driver's Licence.
· White Card.
