“Be the catalyst that drives real change for our planet.”
Samsara Eco has one clear mission: to repair our planet through infinite plastic recycling. Yes, it’s a mighty mission but it’s something every single one of us here at Samsara Eco is determined to achieve. And it’s what motivates us to dedicate our time and energy to every single day.
Our technology is like our team. One of a kind. And we know that, so while we are creating technology to repair our planet, we’re also building a great place to grow careers. A place where everyone can do the best work of their life, making meaningful impact on our planet and ourselves.
Who We Are...
We’re a biotech innovator with a mission that actually matters. We’re taking the 10 billion tonnes of plastics and textiles wasting away in landfill and recycling it – infinitely – to create a truly circular loop for packaging, clothing, airbags, and everything in between.
It means the brands people love can keep making the products they rely on, without the environmental cost. By using what we already have, we can break the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and leave a liveable planet for the generations coming after us.
This isn’t just a job. This is the work that matters most right now.
**This role is based in Jerrabomberra, on the border of NSW/ACT approx. 30 mins from Canberra CBD**

The Role...
We need a leader who earns respect on the floor, not just on paper. Someone who knows the process well enough to run it themselves, cares about the people on their team, and holds the line on safety - every shift, no exceptions.
As Production Team Leader, you’ll sit at the heart of our operations - running our chemical production line and leading a team of Process Technicians. Safety, quality, efficiency, and culture all sit with you. It’s a role that blends real technical knowledge with genuine people leadership, and we need someone who’s comfortable with both.
What You'll Do...
Lead from the front
- You won’t just oversee the process – you’ll run it. Leading by doing is how things work here.
- Coach and develop your team of Chemical Process Technicians across shifts, keeping them focused, supported, and set up to hit their goals.
- Manage daily task allocation, run tight shift handovers, and chair team meetings that actually land.
- Bring new team members up to speed on safe work practices, SOPs, and quality protocols – and make sure they feel supported from day one.
Keep things running
- Monitor the full production process from raw material intake through to crystallisation and final output.
- Operate and oversee equipment – pumps, valves, reactors, control systems – keeping process control tight and consistent.
- Adjust parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow rates as needed to stay compliant and productive.
- Stay on top of inspections and maintenance coordination. Catch problems early and keep downtime to a minimum.
Own safety, quality, and compliance
- Build and maintain a genuine safety culture – not a tick-box one. No shortcuts, no grey areas.
- Keep the team fully compliant with WHS, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
- Work closely with the Quality & Environmental Manager on systems, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions, and see them through to a real resolution.
- Stay on top of documentation – batch records, deviation logs, audit trails – accurate and in real time.
- Keep the team and the floor audit-ready, always.
Keep improving
- Spot opportunities to do things better – more efficient, less waste, higher quality – and actually follow through.
- Get involved in improvement projects and help land change across the operation.
- Help build a team that takes ownership and isn’t afraid to question how things are done.
What You’ll Bring
- Real experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar environment, with leadership or shift supervision under your belt.
- A solid technical foundation in chemical processes, equipment, and instrumentation is a plus.
- People management skills that go beyond assigning tasks – you can coach, give honest feedback, and bring people with you.
- Safety is non-negotiable for you. You know WHS regulations and chemical handling inside out.
- A good eye for quality issues and the discipline to follow through when something’s out of spec.
- Comfortable reading and working from technical documents: process flow diagrams, SOPs, safety guidelines.
- You make decisions under pressure and you’re organised enough to stay on top of a moving operation.
- You communicate clearly – whether you’re briefing a team or escalating a problem.
- Documentation is something you take seriously, not something you do at the end of the shift.
- Technical or vocational training in chemical processing or manufacturing is a real plus.
- Flexible about shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
Not Sure You Tick Every Box?
We're also building out our technician team, so if you've read this and felt something click - even if your experience doesn't match the brief exactly - we'd still love to hear from you. Tell us what you bring and where you want to go. The right attitude and a willingness to learn will take you a long way here.
