We are seeking to recruit a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy Branch located near Gold Coast Airport.
Overview
You will provide an honest and high-quality service designed to get our cars and customers on the road safely and quickly. This self-motivated and hardworking individual will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Cert III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- At least two years' experience working in the industry post-qualification
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Sound auto-electrical knowledge
- Ability to work autonomously
- Effective time management and communication skills
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail

- Full drivers' licence
General Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, computer-based testing tools, and technical expertise.
- Inspect, dismantle, and remove engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical components for assessment and repair.
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
- Reassemble engines, assemblies, and mechanical components following repairs and maintenance work.
- Test, adjust, and fine-tune repaired components to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
- Conduct detailed inspections of parts and systems to identify maintenance requirements and prevent future faults.
- Assess vehicle roadworthiness and, where authorised, issue certificates or recommend work required to meet compliance standards.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide on-site troubleshooting and repair assistance as required.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace safety and environmental standards.
