Reporting into the Managing Director - Pacific, the new Head of Safety - Pacific will be based at our Notting Hill head office in Victoria. You will be a member of the Pacific Executive Leadership Team and accountable for the strategic, commercial, and operational leadership of the Safety Division across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategy, growth opportunities, and long-term planning;
- Contribute as an ELT member to the overall direction of the Pacific business;
- Own full P&L responsibility and go-to-market models whilst driving holistic commercial excellence;
- Lead sales, marketing, and innovation at an executive level to maintain a strong brand and effective external stakeholder relationships;
- Develop and execute the indirect channel strategy and effective partnerships across the Pacific
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across sales, service, and customer support functions
- Attract, build, lead, coach, retain, and continuously develop a high-performing Sales & Marketing organisation and leadership team;
- Champion WeLEAD leadership behaviours throughout the division;
- Sponsor and lead strategic transformation, growth, and capability programs locally, whilst supporting regional/global programs;
- Foster a culture of entrepreneurship, agility, innovation, and performance accountability across the division;
- Collaborate closely and effectively business support functions on align strategy execution;
- Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
- Always ensure a safety-first approach.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Science, Commerce, or a related discipline;
- MBA or postgraduate qualification (desirable);
- Experience operating within complex, global matrix organisations (preferred);
- 10+ years’ progressive, strategic leadership experience within industrial, safety, technology, or related B2B sectors;
- Proven experience leading large commercial organisations with responsibility for revenue growth and profitability;
- Demonstrated success leading multifunctional teams including sales, marketing, service, operations and product management;
- Background of managing complex customer and stakeholder relationships across corporate, government, and industrial sectors;
- Strong track record delivering business transformation, growth initiatives; leadership through change, and the development of high-performing teams;
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution whilst making sound decisions in complex environments;
- Entrepreneurial mindset in conjunction with excellent commercial and financial acumen, and;
- Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards.
