The Opportunity
The Strep A Vaccines Program is advancing research to accelerate the development of a safe and effective vaccine against Strep A, a major cause of preventable illness and serious disease worldwide. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to reduce the impact of Strep A infections, helping to protect children improving lives across communities globally.
As our program continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join the team. In this role you will provide high-quality administrative and secretariat support, playing a vital part in keeping our program running smoothly and effectively.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage diaries, correspondence, meeting arrangements and communications.
- Assist with purchasing and procurement processes, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
- Support seminars, meetings and events, including room bookings, catering and video/teleconferencing.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation and conference registrations.
Provide secretariat support to Strep A Vaccines Team governance bodies, committees and working groups.

Based in our modern offices within Perth Children’s Hospital, this full-time position will be offered for an initial 1-year period.
About You
The successful candidate will be a collaborative and supportive team-member, with an excellent ability to identify and respond to needs. You will possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or relevant experience in administration/office support, alongside:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative or secretarial role.
- Experience providing committee or governance support, including minute‑taking.
- High level organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
