Your New Role
As a Power Distribution Designer (Energex) , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant designs across subdivision and power distribution projects. Based in Hendra, you’ll work within a technically strong team, taking ownership of designs from concept through to IFC.
In this hands-on role, you will:
- Produce concept and detailed LCC designs for Energex subdivision projects
- Prepare and review Energex works plans and technical documentation
- Ensure designs align with Energex standards, manuals, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Project Managers, construction teams, and fellow designers
- Liaise with Energex and relevant authorities to support approvals and resolve design queries
- Participate in design reviews, verifications, and updates across the project lifecycle
- Contribute to practical, buildable design solutions and resolve design challenges
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in Energex LCC / power distribution design
- Strong understanding of subdivision design processes and workflows
- Ability to interpret and apply Energex standards and technical documentation
- Knowledge of key standards including LCC Design Manual, QECM, QEMM, AS3000, AS3008, AS2067, STNW1174/1175
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Competency using Microsoft Office tools
A trade background within the distribution network (highly regarded, not essential)
