Your Impact on the Frontline: As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care that puts NDIS participants at the absolute centre of your day. You will assist clients in elevating their quality of life, expanding social inclusion, and reaching their personal milestones.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver dignified, respectful personal care (including meal prep, grooming, dressing, and bathing).
- Foster daily skill development (focused on social interactions, self-care, and communication).
- Facilitate home-based duties, including shopping and household tasks.
- Provide vital emotional support and meaningful companionship.
- Accompany clients into the community to encourage active social participation.
- Maintain precise documentation and report developments accurately.
- Uphold NDIS safety guidelines and collaborate closely with families and our client service team.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Education: A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or a related discipline).
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months in disability support is highly regarded.
- Key Skills: Strong problem-solving, time management, rapport-building, verbal/written communication, and standard computer literacy.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Qualification relevant to the industry
- Driver's Licence & Reliable, Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, National Police Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Induction Modules.
- Manual Handling & Infection Control training.
- Smartphone.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Casual Pay: $34.44 - $36.23 per hour (SCHADS Award, Level 2.1-3.2), depending on experience and education. Penalty rates apply for Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Public Holidays. Allowances are provided for First Aid, Mileage, Broken Shifts, and Passive Sleepovers.
