We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Legal Administrator to join our newly created role within the Health team in our Adelaide office. As our team continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a Partner, Special Counsels and Lawyers across a busy litigation practice.
You'll provide comprehensive administrative support, help keep matters running smoothly, and become a trusted member of a collaborative and high-performing team. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, takes pride in precision, and enjoys being at the centre of a busy practice where no two days are the same.
What you’ll do:
- Open and manage new matters, ensuring all client, billing and matter details are captured accurately
- Prepare, format, proofread and finalise legal documents in line with firm house style
- Manage diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and key deadlines for lawyers
- Assist with matter management, including file maintenance, archiving, and tracking reporting and court deadlines
- Support court processes, including preparation of briefs, bundles, bibles and electronic filings
- Assist with billing and financial administration, including time capture, disbursements, expenses and billing spreadsheets
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
What you bring:
- Previous experience as a Legal Administrator / Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a willingness to support the wider team
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering high‑quality work
