Join a team driving real decarbonisation outcomes across a multi-site portfolio, from grid connected battery storage to energy efficiency projects that get delivered.
We're looking for an Energy Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the energy performance of our site portfolio, working hands-on with electrical systems, BESS installations, internal stakeholders and external partners who bring these projects to life.
About the Role
This is an internally facing role at the intersection of engineering and delivery. You'll manage and optimise energy performance across multiple sites, design electrical systems for battery storage installations, and build the business cases that get energy investment decisions over the line. You'll work closely with internal operational teams, and liaise with network operators, contractors and suppliers to make sure technical delivery stays on track and compliant with AS/NZS standards.
What You'll Do
· Manage and optimise energy performance across a multi-site portfolio, identifying and progressing emissions and cost-reduction opportunities
· Design and specify electrical systems for BESS installations, including grid connection and protection requirements
· Liaise with network operators and contractors to ensure delivery aligns with AS/NZS standards
· Develop feasibility studies and business cases to support site-level energy investment decisions
· Conduct energy assessments and audits in line with Australian Standards
· Develop Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans and reports
· Manage projects through to delivery and completion, including compliance documentation
· Provide technical guidance to internal teams and support scheme registration where relevant
What You'll Bring
Essential
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related sector
· Relevant experience in power systems, protection, or battery & renewable energy storage
· Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills
· Demonstrated project management experience
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong organisational and time management skills
Highly Regarded
· Experience with energy audits and Measurement & Verification (M&V)
· Experience with energy efficiency certificate schemes or government grant programs
· Knowledge of industrial decarbonisation technologies
· Familiarity with Australian energy efficiency standards and regulations
Why Join Us
You'll be part of a growing team at the forefront of Australia's energy transition, with genuine autonomy to shape how we deliver decarbonisation projects across our business.
