The Role
A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Disputes and Insolvency practice in Sydney on a full-time basis. You will be a key member of the team providing vital administrative support and contributing to the success of the practice.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, phone calls, and emails;
Diary management and scheduling meetings including travel arrangements and arranging events;
Preparing legal documents and correspondence;
File opening and closing including e-filing, system and matter management;
Archiving;
Assisting with monthly billing and client reports;
General administrative support to solicitors; and
Working collaboratively within a high performing team
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a legal assistant, ideally in a litigation, disputes and/or insolvency practice
Strong understanding of Court processes and litigation procedures
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and practice management systems
Strong organisational skills, time management and ability to prioritise tasks
A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate the needs of the practice
