The HR Business Partner (Projects) is a strategic and delivery-focused role that brings together business partnering, project management, organisational development, change management and workforce strategy to deliver meaningful organisational outcomes.
Working across the organisation, you'll collaborate with leaders, managers and the People & Culture team to design and implement complex people initiatives that strengthen workforce capability, improve organisational performance and support Council's strategic priorities. Success in this role requires a diverse skill set that extends beyond traditional HR practice, combining strategic thinking, project management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, governance and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with leaders and managers to understand business challenges, provide contemporary people advice and co-design practical solutions that deliver sustainable organisational outcomes.
- Apply project management principles to scope, plan, coordinate and deliver complex initiatives, balancing competing priorities, managing risks and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Analyse workforce data, trends and organisational insights to inform evidence-based decision-making, workforce planning and the development of targeted people strategies.
- Develop and implement initiatives that enhance workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, employee experience, organisational culture and performance.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation, influencing and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve People & Culture services, systems and processes, using innovation, critical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver better outcomes.
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and delivering strategic people outcomes.
You will:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and/or possess equivalent experience in a similar HR Business Partner or HR project role, preferably within a complex or multidisciplinary organisation.
- Demonstrate experience planning and delivering HR projects, organisational change initiatives or workforce programs that support business objectives.
- Possess a sound understanding of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation, employee relations and organisational development principles.
- Have strong project management, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.

- Package: $111,776-$124,574 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
