You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Join our Major Events team as an Event Transport Support Officer, where you will provide a broad range of high-quality business and administrative services to support the end-to-end management, coordination and implementation of a range of traffic and transport strategies for major events across NSW.
You will support the Director Major Events and the wider team with operational and administrative activities including records management, diary management, reporting and archiving, meeting preparation, coordination and minuting, preparation of agendas, presentations and event briefs, along with other administrative functions.
You will also liaise with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders to ensure quality, cost-effective and timely provision of goods and services to support the major events team in delivery of high-quality major events.
This is a permanent, full time position offering hybrid working from our Transport Management Centre (TMC) at Eveleigh, Sydney. Please note this role may require work outside of business hours on occasion, to support the delivery of events.
For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.
About you
You are an accomplished Administrator with experience supporting Executive or Senior Leadership teams, ideally within a large, complex, operational environment.
Your diligence and strong organisational skills, ability to multitask under pressure, and to provide seamless administrative support in a fast paced environment will see you excel in this role.
You are agile and adaptable, have strong problem solving skills, and the ability to see the big picture whilst focusing on the details. You are also recognised for your strong communication skills and strengths in building relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
Your intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office will allow you to deliver high quality, timely service in a high volume, pressurised and time critical work environment.
Experience in traffic and transport operations would also be advantageous, although not essential.
Please note that whilst this role sits within our Major Events team, it is primarily an administrative and business support position rather than an event management role.
