Overview
In this role you will be responsible for end to end management of a portfolio of products. You will provide thought leadership and have an ability to synthesize complex information to develop market relevant products.
From concept to delivery, you will also be responsible for analysing the market providing insights and practical information and data to support business cases, maintain a product catalogue and provide relevant stakeholder reporting.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of products in execution of the product strategy
- Help to drive product simplification and rationalisation.
- Partner with business stakeholders and clients to identify and evaluate product requirements and develop an outcome oriented product roadmap.
- Develop a competitor analysis framework to quickly assess the market and benchmark our offering.
- Develop business cases and work closely with clients/internal stakeholders through the Initiation and Feasibility and Planning Phases of a product to ensure the overall product is fit for purpose.
- Represent Link at events or forums as required
Operational Management
- Present product concepts and designs to build and delivery teams for estimation and work closely with them through development and implementation
- Undertake user testing and market research to inform product development
- Create, maintain, and update product information, and act as an expert internally and externally.
- Define and track product success metrics and share with the wider business
- Analyse data to provide recommendations and reports on existing and prospective products.
- Work with the Head of CX & Product to develop a toolkit to support the client facing teams
Governance & Risk
- Ensure resolution of product issues
Experience & Personal Attributes
- Min 2 years Product Management experience in Financial Services, Superannuation or Wealth Management with proven ability to execute product strategy and manage the end to end product lifecycle
- Results driven mindset with the ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and work across multiple products
- Strong customer focus and business acumen including developing business cases
- Possess the experience and the confidence to engage, influence and educate senior stakeholders and clients
- Capable of effectively setting and managing stakeholder and client expectations
- A passion for product and delivering outcomes that drive value to clients and stakeholders
- A practical and consultative approach to problem solving
- Ability to present to clients and executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
