We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in Wingfield, SA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with strong experience in transport refrigeration, diesel trailer servicing, and vehicle air conditioning.
About the Role
You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and installing transport refrigeration systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, and maintain transport refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and repair faults on transport refrigeration systems.
- Install refrigeration systems on new and existing commercial vehicles, including fabrication work where required.
- Service and repair diesel trailer refrigeration units.
- Carry out automotive electrical installations and repairs, including driving lights, UHF radios, reversing beepers, and other accessories.
- Repair and maintain air conditioning systems on commercial and passenger vehicles.
- Perform fabrication and general workshop duties as required.
- Attend after-hours breakdowns and call-outs when required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211) or equivalent.
- Current Arctick Licence.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, ideally with transport refrigeration and diesel trailer units.
- Strong knowledge of diesel refrigeration systems and transport refrigeration equipment.
