Our role is also supporting people to self-manage long-term health conditions, such as diabetes and mental health challenges, with multidisciplinary teams delivering community-based programs in a comfortable setting. We also support people, including older people and people with disability, to stay living at home longer and to live well in their community.
Our broad range of primary health services, care management and in home and community support services can be tailored to an individual’s needs and with major hubs in Box Hill and Eltham, these services can be delivered locally, in the Eastern and North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Assist in the delivery of individual and group programs under the direction of the Allied Health Professional
- Work in a multidisciplinary team with flexibility to cover multiple disciplines
- Provide administrative support to the Allied Health Team
- Maintain regular, timely and accurate statistical input into client database
Qualifications - Mandatory
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or qualification of equivalence
- Current First aid CPR certification
Key Selection Criteria - Mandatory
- Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant
- Experience and expertise working in allied health and/or the community health sector
- Experience working with a variety of client groups that may include culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, aged persons and/or people with a disability
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including communication skills
- Demonstrated supportive and positive approach towards working with individuals of all ages and their families
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to take direction as appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as required
- An understanding of group programs and an ability to work in a group setting
- Capacity to make decisions, find solutions and escalate when required
- High level of computer skills especially Microsoft Office suite
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
Key Selection Criteria – Desirable
- Experience working with clients with Chronic Disease
- Experience using My Aged Care portal
- Experience using client data management system
- Having a language other than English
