Doctors in Officer is seeking an experienced, caring, and motivated Registered Nurse to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a modern and patient-focused medical practice committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the local community.
As a valued member of our clinical team, you will work closely with our doctors, nursing staff, and management team to provide exceptional patient care while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice. The successful candidate will report directly to the Practice Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and clinical support to patients.
- Assist doctors with consultations, procedures, treatments, and care plans.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, iron infusions, wound care, ECGs, and other nursing procedures as required.
- Conduct health assessments and provide patient education and health promotion advice.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Best Practice software.
- Manage recalls, reminders, care plans, and clinical follow-ups in accordance with practice policies and RACGP standards.
- Support infection control, cold chain management, stock control, and clinical room preparation.
- Participate in accreditation, quality improvement, and compliance activities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Support and mentor junior staff where required.
Skills & Experience
- Strong clinical nursing skills with previous General Practice experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a busy clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and compassionate approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated experience using Best Practice Software is essential.
- Experience managing recalls, reminders, immunisations, wound care, and chronic disease management within Best Practice Software will be highly regarded.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience preferred.
- Previous experience in General Practice nursing is highly desirable.
- Current CPR certificate and relevant immunisation records.

Pay: $57,518.22 – $110,170.52 per year
