RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an experienced Bids & Pursuits Leader to support our Oceans & Environment team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic bid and pursuits professional to play a key role in positioning and winning high-profile work across Australia's growing onshore and offshore energy, environmental and marine sectors.
Working within our National Pursuits team, you will partner closely with technical leaders within RPS’ oceans and environment teams to develop winning strategies, strengthen client relationships and drive business growth.
The Opportunity
As Bids & Pursuits Leader, you will lead the planning, positioning and delivery of strategic pursuits and bids for oceans and environment projects across Australia, helping to secure projects that support Australia's onshore and offshore energy transition and environmental outcomes.
You will work collaboratively with technical experts, business leaders and marketing professionals to develop compelling submissions, strengthen client engagement and elevate RPS' profile within the market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic pursuits and bid opportunities from initial pursuit through to submission
- Coordinating planning and positioning activities for key opportunities
- Driving client engagement strategies for priority clients
- Developing tailored, high-quality bid content and submission materials
- Maintaining capability statements, project experience and bid library content
- Identifying opportunities to raise market profile through thought leadership and external communications
- Supporting pipeline governance and opportunity tracking
- Facilitating lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
- Identifying and coordinating industry award submissions
- Leveraging AI tools and technology to improve bid quality and efficiency.
About You
You are a highly organised and commercially minded pursuits, bids, marketing or business development professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will bring:
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in business development, pursuits, communications or marketing within a professional services environment
- Strong experience managing complex bids and tender submissions
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
- Outstanding writing, editing and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously
- Experience with online tender portals and client procurement processes
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite will be highly regarded.
