About The Role
Smarter Connections is seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate Support Workers to support a 49-year-old woman in Craigieburn.
The participant has Autism Spectrum Disorder, Schizophrenia and Intellectual Disability and requires consistent 1:1 support.
She is warm and affectionate and enjoys music, dancing, walking, swimming, tennis, the beach, watching TV, community outings and spending time with family.
We are looking for workers who are calm, patient, confident and experienced with complex support needs and mental health. Workers must be comfortable following a Behaviour Support Plan, maintaining appropriate boundaries and responding calmly to behaviours of concern.
Shifts currently available:
- Monday: 6:30am–8:30pm
- Thursday: 7:00am–6:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am–6:00pm
- Sunday: 12:30pm–8:30pm
Experience with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Schizophrenia, behaviours of concern and Positive Behaviour Support would be highly regarded.
Applicants must have relevant checks and qualifications, including NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, driver's licence and a reliable insured vehicle.
Reliability and the ability to commit to regular ongoing shifts are very important.

Essential / Preferred Requirements:
- Female Support Worker (due to personal care requirements)
- Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support (preferred)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Driver’s Licence & reliable vehicle
- Experience supporting high physical needs (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Availability for a flexible roster, including weekends
