About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist/ Administration Officer with experience in the medical/ hospital industry to join us. This is a full-time 12 month maternity leave relief contract.
Great work/ life balance as it is a Monday to Friday flexible roster, no overnights, no weekends and no public holidays, we are closed over the Christmas/ New Year period.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices and VMO rooms. You will:
- Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital
- Ensure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recorded
- Ensure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled
- Manage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordingly
- Liaise with health funds and complete checks
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting
- A high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Management Software
- Experience in FYDO or SimDay desirable but not essential
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholders
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours throughout the Monday to Friday roster
