About this role:
Direct Focus Solutions (DFS) is looking to employ individuals on a casual basis to perform disability and community support work services for an NDIS participant residing within the Illawarra. This role would involve providing in-home supports, as well as facilitating access to the community, for a specific client.
In this role, you will work closely with your support work program manager, colleagues, and members of our multidisciplinary clinical team to help support this client. Candidates with experience and/or qualifications in disability and community support work, personal care, or nursing, are preferred. Mature, compassionate applicants with experience in a relevant field, particularly providing personal care and support to women, are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle prior to employment.
- The ability to reliably commute to, and work within, the Illawarra.
- Weekday availability.
- Personal Care, Disability, Community Services, or Aged Care qualifications and/or experience.
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with NDIS programs and participants.
- Experience working with complex clients.
- Computer literacy to interact successfully with our client management system.

- Be flexible in accordance with the specific needs of our clients.
- Successfully support clients with complex needs as required.
- Collaborate as part of a team and work with a diverse range of clients.
DFS is prepared to support individuals to obtain the following checks as a further condition of their employment:
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker’s Check (NDISWC)
- Police Check
