We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team at our global headquarters in Kilsyth.

Working closely with the Financial Accountant and Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of ARB's domestic division, MITS Alloy’s financial reporting and supporting the broader business through timely and accurate financial information.
This diverse role provides exposure to month-end reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work collaboratively across the business and contribute to the ongoing success of a globally recognised brand.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly balance sheet, inventory, intercompany, and online platform reconciliations
- Assist with month-end reporting, including journals, accruals, and management reporting
- Prepare and process payroll journals, ensuring payroll related transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Maintain inventory reporting through cycle counts, stocktakes, and GRNI reviews
- Support statutory accounting, external audit requirements, and taxation obligations (BAS, PAYG, FBT)
- Facilitate audit activities to support the internal audit program.
- Provide financial analysis and accurate information to support business decision-making
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the broader business to resolve issues and deliver outcomes
- Identify and implement process improvements while strengthening internal controls
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:
- 3+ years' accounting experience with a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards professional accreditation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience using lookups, pivot tables, and analysing financial data
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a deadline-driven environment
