Our client is a highly regarded boutique VFX studio based in Sydney, delivering premium visual effects for film, television, commercials and streaming projects. With a strong reputation for creative excellence and close collaboration, they're looking to add an experienced
Lead Compositor to their team.
Working directly with the Compositing Supervisor, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality visual effects work while helping guide and support the compositing team across a diverse slate of projects.
Please note: This role is only open to candidates currently residing in Australia with unrestricted working rights. Visa sponsorship and international relocation assistance are not available.
The Role We're looking for an accomplished compositor with proven creative and technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a standout reel demonstrating high-end live-action VFX work.
As Lead Compositor, you'll be responsible for delivering complex shots, supporting the Compositing Supervisor with shot reviews and team leadership, and helping maintain the studio's high standards of quality and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Compositor in film, episodic or commercial VFX
- Advanced Nuke skills and a strong understanding of compositing workflows
- Exceptional eye for photorealism, integration, colour, lighting and image quality
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical understanding of VFX pipelines
- Experience mentoring artists and providing constructive creative feedback
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A strong portfolio/reel showcasing high-end live-action VFX work

Preference will be given to candidates already based in NSW, although applicants elsewhere in Australia who are genuinely committed to relocating to Sydney at their own expense will also be considered.
