Café Alfons on Chevron Island is seeking a qualified Sous Chef to join the team and help run the kitchen. If you are experienced in pumping out a well crafted breakfast and lunch menu along with all the necessary prep, this is your kind of place.
You will need to prove that you can manage the kitchen, including opening and closing, ordering, stock control, prep and wastage. You will be supported by our executive head chef and hands-on owners to help you succeed in the role, but you will be largely responsible for day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
You’ve got to be cool headed under pressure while working within a small kitchen team to produce the high quality meals our customers have come to expect.
There are plenty of hours available across a 7 day roster, which must include weekends.
Above the right skills and experience, we are looking for the right attitude… taking pride in the food you present, operating efficiently as part of an ultra reliable team and you've got to be able to have some fun at work!
We do breakfast and lunch 7 days so there are no nights and no split shifts.
