SUMMARY
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Hospitality Worker to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of the venue through a combination of food and beverage service, barista duties, point-of-sale operation and general hospitality functions

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY
Hospitality & Customer Service
- Greet, seat and serve customers promptly.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the dietary requirements and effectively communicate this information with customers and kitchen staffs.
- Actively promote menu items and daily specials to increase sales.
- Efficiently operate point-of-sale system (Square), process payments, and manage cash register accurately.
Beverage Operation
- Prepare mise en place for different beverages, restock drink fridges following FIFO principles.
- Prepare and serve different types of beverages, including coffee, smoothies, frappes, etc.
- Clean coffee machine and drink stations daily after each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the beverage stations throughout the shift.
- Do stocktake and notify out-of-stock items for ordering.
Floor Operations
- Manage daily table reservations, and optimize seating for walk-ins
- Clean, set, and arrange tables.
- Explain menu items to customers and efficiently take orders for both dine-in and takeaway services.
- Clear dishes and wipe down table promptly and assist with dishwashing and cutlery polishing when required.
- Perform daily opening and closing duties, including wiping surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, etC
SELECTION CRITERIA
Experience
- A Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in similar hospitality or barista roles (Required)
- Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail regarding food and beverage presentation and preparation, as well as general restaurant cleanliness.
- A consistent positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to different operation demands
- Ability to work productively and efficiently both independently and within the team.
- Having an appropriate level of physical health and fitness to stand and remain active during operation hours
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and work health and safety regulations.
