About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance & Grounds Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll help maintain and take general care of Sundale’s grounds, facilities, property and equipment, ensuring safe, welcoming and well-presented environments for residents, clients, visitors and team members.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, weeding, mulching and fertilising to ensure outdoor areas are visually appealing and well maintained
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, and manually water areas when required
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, plant and equipment, completing any required follow-up actions
- Carry out minor property repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for more complex repair and maintenance work
- Keep outdoor areas, walkways, recreational spaces and entrances clean, safe and accessible by removing litter, leaves, branches and other debris
- Support the presentation and aesthetic appeal of Sundale’s facilities so they remain welcoming for consumers and visitors
- Complete required documentation and support continuous improvement, compliance and safe work practices
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, consumers, contractors and suppliers
Required qualifications or certificates
- Queensland Driver Licence
- National Police Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
- Practical experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping and general property maintenance
- Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers and chainsaws
- Completion of appropriate trade or certificate-level training is desirable (e.g. carpentry, pool maintenance, permit to work or horticulture)
