Who Are We?
Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is an ASX listed company with a focus on battery minerals. We aim to be an ESG leader in the resources sector and a globally significant provider of battery minerals for the rapidly growing clean energy market. We will do this by finding, developing and supplying the battery minerals required by the rapidly growing electric vehicle and energy storage industries.
Our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Project is a Tier 1 hard rock lithium asset, recognised for its scale, grade, and longevity. Now ramping up underground production, Kathleen Valley represents one of the most significant new lithium operations globally and is central to Liontown's long-term growth strategy.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a meticulous, experienced Senior Document Controller to join our Technical Services team in Perth on an 18 month contract and are open to fulltime and part time (4 days) candidates. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, you'll take ownership of Liontown's document control systems, processes and registers across both operations and corporate functions.
This is a standalone role with genuine autonomy over document control– from formatting corporate documentation through to complex data remediation and the migration of technical data from Project to Operations. The role is primarily operations-focused, with support to the Expansion project limited to overflow processing.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading the end-to-end management of Liontown's document control system across operations and corporate functions, maintaining accurate registers, version histories and document records
Formatting and finalising corporate documents in Microsoft Word, applying advanced features including Quick Parts, templates, styles and macros to ensure consistent, professional outputs
Managing the remediation, cleansing and migration of legacy documentation from Project to Operations
Managing working copies, RLMUs and backdrafting activities
Processing, distributing and filing incoming and outgoing documents, drawings and correspondence in line with workflow and transmittal procedures
Providing operational readiness advice and overflow document processing support to the Expansion project
Advising on document control requirements, numbering conventions and metadata standards, and resolving non-routine issues such as version discrepancies and register inconsistencies
Administering the InEight document management system at a back-end configuration and system administrator level
Guiding and supporting Liontown staff, contractors and team members across the business on document control processes and system usage
Monitoring register integrity and key metrics, and contributing to continuous improvement of document management practices
Creating new processes and procedures for document control where gaps are identified
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a document control role within a resources, engineering, construction, or project-based environment
Demonstrated experience administering an electronic document management system (EDMS) at a back-end configuration and system administrator level; experience with InEight is highly desirable
Experience supporting technical teams with document submission, transmittal, version control and records management
An understanding of document migration from Project to Operations, including data cleansing and register remediation
Experience managing working copies, RLMUs and backdrafting activities; mining or resources sector experience is desirable
Strong working knowledge of document control principles, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under deadline pressure
Advanced Microsoft Word skills including Quick Parts, templates, styles and macros, alongside broader competency across the Microsoft Office Suite
High attention to detail and a methodical, consistent approach to quality assurance across document control activities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to guide stakeholders and represent the function professionally in a cross-disciplinary environment
Why Liontown?
By joining our team, you will be supporting the world's transition to a more sustainable future. We aim to be leaders for sustainability, social responsibility and governance practices and are developing a mine site for the future, powered by renewable energy and featuring unique and innovative mining and processing design.
