Tutoring Tree is a Canberra-based tutoring company, and we're looking for a casual Marketing & Content Coordinator to help with our social media and content.
We're looking for someone creative, clever, reliable and resourceful — ideally a uni student, early-career marketer, or someone looking for a flexible side hustle.
The role is around 20 hours per month at $35/hour + super, with most of the work flexible around your schedule. There's usually one in-person filming/planning session per month in Canberra, with the rest of the time spent planning, editing and preparing content remotely.
What the role involves
- Filming short-form content with our team
- Editing Reels and short-form videos
- Creating static posts and carousels
- Writing captions and post copy
- Managing a monthly content calendar
- Researching content ideas, trends, exam periods and local opportunities
- Looking at what content is working and suggesting improvements
- Helping with ad campaigns when needed, including learning and researching how to run them properly
What we're looking for
We're not looking for someone who needs to be told every tiny step. The ideal person is someone who can take initiative, come up with ideas, use tools like Canva, CapCut and AI (all provided by us), and figure things out.
Experience with any of the following would be great, but we're mainly looking for someone smart, creative and willing to learn:
- Social media content creation
- Video editing (CapCut, Descript, Adobe, etc.)
- Canva
- Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Running or supporting ad campaigns
- AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
