Powder Coating Operator
About the Role
Skyspan Australia is seeking a reliable and motivated Powder Coating Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with a minimum of 38 hours, and overtime opportunities available.
The primary focus of this role is the preparation, powder coating, and finishing of aluminium and sheet metal components used in our skylight products. The successful candidate will also assist with general factory and production tasks as required to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities
- Powder coating aluminium and sheet metal components to required specifications
- Loading and unloading powder coating racks and ovens
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure coating consistency and finish standards
- Operating powder coating equipment and associated factory machinery
- Assisting with packing finished products for dispatch
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean and organised work area
- Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Supporting general factory and production work as required
Skills & Experience
- Previous powder coating experience (preferred)
- Experience using basic power tools (essential)
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Available to work full-time (minimum 38 hours per week)
- Able to work reliably Monday to Friday
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- English proficiency (preferred)
- Australian driver's licence (preferred)
