We're excited to welcome a Senior Social Worker to our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level Social Work clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital Health and Queensland Health (SCH).
Social Work clinicians within the Allied Health Service Delivery Model (SDM) work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff maybe required to work across other clinical services and facilities within SDM as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across SCH as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities include:
Deliver independent high level social work clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced social work practitioners and students as delegated.
Adhere to relevant expectations outlined in the SCH and Allied Health Governance Framework documents and Business Rules to ensure that best patient outcomes are achieved in a transparent, ethical and accountable manner.
Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a. pro rata, comprising salary between $4912.70- $5286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed Term Temporary position available until 21/02/2026).
