At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Central Coast Cancer Services team.
About the Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse within Central Coast Cancer Services, you will work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with haematological and oncological malignancies. The service delivers outpatient anti-cancer therapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care across the district to ensure patients receive high-quality, coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.
This position will work across the district's cancer service sites, including Gosford Cancer Day Unit, Wyong Cancer Day Unit, and the Radiotherapy Cancer Centre. In this role you will:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
- Coordinate nursing and healthcare interventions to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Administer and support cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and care for patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and reporting within electronic health systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary team members to support patient-centred care.
- Delegate and supervise nursing interventions undertaken by Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing as appropriate.
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to a positive team culture aligned with Caring for the Coast values.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated post-basic experience in oncology, haematology, and/or radiation oncology nursing, or a willingness to undertake further education and training.
- Experience in chemotherapy administration and/or caring for patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment.
- Demonstrated experience conducting holistic patient assessments in a cancer nursing setting.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the effective use of clinical information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- An understanding of the Caring for the Coast vision and how this role contributes to delivering exceptional patient care.
The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and provide care for patients with complex health needs.
